Customer Reviews
I will begin by saying that this was an absolutely brilliant dining experience. The food was phenomenal, the service and general hospitality was top notch and the atmosphere was laid back and casual. I'm quite shocked by a lot of these reviews, mainly the ones that are complaining about the price. Please tell me where in Knoxville, or really most metropolitan areas, that you can get all you can eat Raw oysters, two different kinds of mussels, crab legs, smoked salmon, a variety of cold salads and the best Clam chowder this side of the Mason Dixon line for under $50 a person??? BUT WAIT!!!! Also included in that price are at least three different kinds of cooked fish, a chicken option, prime rib cooked to perfection (with or without a savory aus jus, raw horseradish or horseradish sauce),
At a glance, the restaurant seemed nice enough. However, appearances from a distance were misleading. Our group had reserved the private dining room and the restaurant knew in advance how many guests would be attending. The room was set for our group and nice enough but there were still dirty tables in the room (not being used for our group) from breakfast service (based on the presence of a whole strip of bacon sitting on a table). From seating to placing our orders was 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, the food came out but five orders were missing and those five customers waited a further 30 minutes before being served. Low marks for service. The atmosphere was nice but the dirty tables in our reserved private dining room was a definite negative. I’m not sure if I will give this place an
Spent the night and was a great restaurant right in the hotel. Get the filet!!
After reading reviews my husband and I were a little hesitant about dining especially for the price. We were pleasantly surprised. Everyone from hostess to servers were very friendly. Food was tastefully seasoned and prepared. The only suggestion is perhaps a few more seafood selections. Salmon with pesto was amazing. A little confusing entrance and exit due to construction. Would definitely return.
We ate the Friday night $50 seafood buffet. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Crab legs were barely edible. Selections for dessert were sparse. Fried shrimp not offered anymore. Too expensive for the quality and selection. And we missed the live piano music.
