Absolutely an amazing culinary experience for our family!!! Delicious homemade drinks and desserts made our taste buds dance. The fabulous nutritional entrees were seasoned to perfection. We put a pin on the map for an eagerly anticipated return to Mae Lou’s.

Great place to eat. First time ever eating oxtails and rice. Superb dish! The owners are super friendly. Oxtails are a little pricey, but well worth the money. Will definitely go back!

Was on vacation and drove 3hrs out the way to experience the World's Famous MaeLou's talked about Caribbean Soul Food and Baaaby when I tell, it was better than good, it was absolutely hands down THE BEST on the East Coast!!!! (& I'll put money on theirs vs anyone's!!!!) I was immediately greeted with southern hospitality and the smell of heavenly food!!! I couldn't wait to get started, the menu was so full of a great selection I wanted to try EVERYTHING!!! (& Definitely tried to 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️) We ordered the turkey wings on a bed of seasoned yellow rice with a side of smacking Mac and cheese and amazing collard greens with turkey meat 🤤🤤🤤 We also ordered the oxtail plate on a bed of Haitian rice with a side of savory cabbage and sweet yams!!! 🤤🤤🤤 We also got and ox tail loaded baked potato! Look I'm a goofy foodie. 💯💶💯HANDS DOWN THE BEST CUISINE IN MY LIFE. I WANT TO MOVE THERE JUST TO HAVE YOUR FOOD AND FRIENDSHIP. THE MOMENT YOU OPEN THE DOOR YOU ARE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE FINE CUISINE. THEY MAKE THEIR SAUCES FRESH AND WHEN THEY RUN OUT THEY RUN OUT. WE GOT THE LAST OF THE OX TAILS, PEAS AND RICE. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN LEMONADE. CLEAN, HOSPITABLE FAMILY OWNED TO TIER RESTAURANT.
