Mae Kong Thai Restaurant

I recently visited Mae Kong Thai Restaurant in the heart of New Britain just on a whim/random find and it was a fantastic experience. The food was not only delicious but also very affordable, making it a great spot for anyone craving authentic flavors without breaking the bank. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which really elevated the dining experience. On top of that, the restaurant was clean and inviting, creating a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty Thai food at a great price. I’ll definitely be going back!

Had a wonderful dinner at Mae King Thai in New Britain. Very friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere. We had: Yellow curry with chicken & a mango salmon special that was to die for! Wonderful Thai Iced Coffee that was delicious and a nice size. Everything was great and I would definitely recommend and I’ll be back. Thank you

I’ve been coming here as a kid and I’ve moved away but I swear this Thai restaurant is the best I’ve ever had. I love their panang curry it has crispy vegetables that are amazing and no other restaurant does it this way. I usually dislike drunken noodles but their texture is amazing. I’ve also done the panang fried rice with crispy chicken and that is one of my favs. My family will usually do pineapple fried rice as an appetizer and it’s also amazing. I think there’s really nothing we had here that wasn’t great or impressive. It truly is a treat.

Absolutely perfect place. Ouma was such a friendly hostess, (and a great conversationalist as well!) We got the Crispy Lemongrass Chicken, the Summer Roll, and I got the Mae Kong Noodle with beef. All three dishes looked great, tasted fantastic, and weren't skimped on the portion sizes! The Mango Sticky Rice dessert is absolutely delicious as well, and everything we ate felt real and authentic. I will definitely be coming back for take out and to eat in!

The place is small but nice, the food is good and the service is good. Thai pai 51 enough for 2 people. Crispy chicken 71 good but a little too fried. The 2 time we came I ordered yellow curry and I loved it, really good. The 3 time I came there I tried tofu soup and I think the number 70 ram pram something like that I don’t remember the name it was with peanut butter sauce and my husband tried red curry and it was good
