Madonna Seafood Restaurant

So disappointed. I moved to WV about 4 mths ago. Came back to MD for family and stopped in for dinner. Had the Chesapeake burger and they changed the recipe. It used to be amazing, over-flowing with crab dip, it was absolutely amazing. It's one of those things that I new exactly what I wanted before we even showed up to the restaurant. Now they just throw a tablespoon of crab meat. Not even backfin or lump. And cover it with shredded cheese. One of the most expensive burger on the menu and the county at that point. And something that used to be decadent and over the top is now bland, dry, un-seasoned and definitely over priced. Doesn't help that it was over cooked. Ordered medium and came out mid-well to well-done

My husband and I decided to give them a try bc of recommendations from friends. We arrived at 3pm on a Wednesday and were the only customers in the restaurant which we are happy with really. We were seated promptly. Our server arrived within 5 mins to take our drink orders. I ordered the crab imperial which is my favorite. It was a generous portion and seasoned perfectly. The imperial sauce tasted great. Slaw and ffs. B+ My husband ordered the stuffed imperial shrimp. The shrimp were ok but he had to peel off the skin portions on some and only gave him 3 average shrimp, they weren’t really stuffed with crab imperial, more like small crab balls dropped on each shrimp with a slight drizzle of imperial sauce. Such a great experience for our first time here, we were recommended this place by my boss and I'm so glad we took the recommendation because the food was absolutely delicious and we tried each other's plate so we could get a taste of more and the salmon was so scrumptious and the crab cake was incredible with jumbo lump meat but that Crab dip bread bowl was absolutely out of this world!! The establishment is beautifully decorated inside and the service was wonderful and so inviting and friendly. I recommend this establishment highly because it was an all around great experience!

My husband and I ate here last Thursday. When we arrived, it was not busy. So we both ordered a cup of cream of crab. It was creamy, but because there is cream cheese in the recipe. Not alot of crab in it. My husband had the seafood platter, which had scallops, shrimp, crabcake and a piece of fish. He had onion rings, all 6 of them, and Cole slaw. I had the trio platter, which had shrimp, scallops, and a crabcake. I had fries and Cole slaw. Just about all the seafood was underseasoned . The crabcake had nice big chunks of crab, but not seasoned. It was bland. A shaker of old bay sat with the salt and pepper. Unfortunately, we asked for the server for the check but had to wait at least 10 minutes for it to come to our table. She was chatting with another table not giving us our check.

Best crabs in the area! We loved the stuffed oysters.The sour beef and dumplings was excellent!!! Their specials can’t be beat!!! I added photos of Twin stuffed lobster tails, Soft Crabs A La Baltimore and Prime Rib Bayou all weekend specials and outstanding! Eat in or carry out, excellent food!
