Madison Library District

I love this library!! Not only do they have a wonderful book collection, all of the workers there are just so nice and are always ready to help whenever I have a question. I also love all of their fun events that happen, as they never disappoint!

We have loved what this library has to offer as far as books and programs but dealing with the staff is ridiculous. The red tape you have to jump through just to get a library card and then the neglect and short tempered staff are ridiculous. Anytime you have to talk to someone they are right off the bat rude to you and unwilling to work with you. They have no forgiveness or compassion. As long and you don’t have normal children and never have a late book you’ll be fine but anytime life happens don’t expect to be treated with human decency.

This is a family friendly library, and in my opinion, the best in SE Idaho. Their children’s section is vast, lots of books, puzzles, rocking toys, and educational computers available. There’s always some event for kids set up each week, including story time! Their YA section is quite small, which is a bit disappointing. The adult section is much larger, and is completely separate from YA and children—a feature I really appreciate. Also note they have a drive-thru drop off, and an electric drop off in the doorway. Really love the atmosphere here!

Do not borrow books from here if you have children that are even a little bit messy my teenagers split one spot on a novel on one page that didn't even affect it being read and they made us buy the whole book probably the most unforgiving library I've ever been to. Not very family friendly in my opinion. Also didn't let us have the book after we paid for it they told us that we could buy it from their used bookstore if we wanted it. ???

I love this library a lot thwy have a great selection and they have multiple book shelves for the young adult section including little cozy spots where you can read!
