I ordered the chili with cheese—it had good flavor, a little sweet with mild heat. The Buffalo Chicken Melt came with breaded chicken, buffalo sauce, cheddar, and bleu cheese dressing, served with fries. The buffalo sauce was excellent, but the combination of pressed bread and breaded chicken made it a bit dry overall. My wife asked for the Crispy Chicken Salad Sandwich—chopped crispy chicken, onions, celery, and mayo—to be made into a wrap. She thought it was a great-tasting meal.

Looking at all the 4 & Star Reviews, I am assuming the Drinks they serve might be good, coz I just cannot imagine how the Food can be good based on my experience. My order consisted of Pub classics - Fish & Chips and Tater Tots, and it was definitely not what I expected. Let's start with the Fish & Chips. Just take a look at the photo - it was more like Fish Fingers with barely any flavor. Flavor is actually too big an expectation for food that lacked something as basic as salt. It was also both crispy and soggy at the same time. With every bite, water (??) dripped down and created a huge mess. Chips were decent. As to their Tater Kegs, it somehow felt like a scam. Cold Guinness, sports on the TV, locals... sometimes that's all you want. This is a usual stop at the end of the day while waiting for the train home (2 minute walk to the platform). I didnt provide a food rating because I only come here for drinks, not to eat. Typical casual/bar food menu, darts, music and sports in the bar, booths in the restaurant. Area outside has picnic tables, corn hole, and during summer live music. I always giggle when I go in the ladies room because all the mirrors are hung higher than I can see. I am 5'2" and as you can see, had to raise the phone above my head to take a picture... of the top of my head! 😂 One day I'll ask why this is, but I always enjoy the laugh! This is a true Ridgewood gem! An amazing bar with a rich history and an amazing atmosphere!! You will find generations of locals in and out of here all day everyday, enjoying the amazing food and drink specials!! I grew up coming in here and 30+years later it’s still one of my favourite spots!!! This is a family owned and run business and it shows by how close everyone is. The inside fireplace by the part is such a nice touch when the cold winter nights roll in and the outdoor sitting area is perfect for the rest of the year. Especially when they are holding one of their big events! If you live in town the benefit of being to easily walk here is so nice or for those coming in from the city by train or bus! Thank you so much to the lady behind the bar yesterday who put on the soccer game for me and my family and made our Sunday. You were so welcoming to us - a new family in Ridgewood - and we didn't get to say thank you before we left! The pub is full of character and has a great atmosphere. We will be back!
