Customer Reviews
Had to go through Russellville and saw this establishment near by. A food truck selling catfish and chicken cooked to order. Priced by weight but not sure what I ordered but it was 4 large pieces of fish with 4 hush puppies, seasoned fries and cole slaw and their homemade tartar sauce. Everything was hot and delicious.
I love that they are able to keep prices low by working in the truck. I also respect that they don't give slaw to everyone because I'm one of those people who doesn't want both fries and slaw. I would rather pay less and not get it so the owners seem to be forward thinkers and their food is delectable. You can also call and place your order so it's ready when you get there!
Y'all come on down to Mackey's catfish they have the best Fish around Russellville!!! Food is absolutely delicious and the employees are very kind and hard working!!! They have updated their menu with fried okra as well. They do not accept cards but it's definitely worth the trip to the ATM you can not beat their food I have yet to find a place that can!! They do cater as well!!!
Mackey's has catered to the company I work for on numerous occasions, though I've never had the chance fo visit their home location, so while I cannot rate them based on value, it's always delicious with good sized portions. The girls working the truck are also very friendly.
I normally eat fish at another place in town, but tonight it was late and we didn’t want to cook and wanted something close. The lady who owns this place works in cat rescue with my wife, so she has always suggested we try here and we finally did. It did not disappoint. I had the fish dinner with fries and slaw, and my wife loves there chicken dinner with a side of slaw. The food was good, and so was the service…even though we got there 20 minutes before closing. It’s a great place to stop if your on the west side of Russellville and you want something good to eat.
