Ma and Pop's Country Kitchen

I had an unplanned doctors visit this morning in Bethel Park (damn kidneys). Decided to do a solo breakfast date and found Ma and Pop’s Country Kitchen. If you know me you know breakfast is a favorite of mine even if I don’t eat it often. This place is legit, a true old school diner feel, counter service and great food. I would put it up as one of my favorites around the city! I went simple with the 2 egg breakfast, toast, bacon, and home fries with an extra sweet sausage patty. The home fries were the real old school type that I love and don’t always get, a little crispy, but a little soft still, a nice bite and great seasoning. The waitress said not to skip the bacon, the thick cut bacon was crispy and still a bit floppy (I’m a floppy bacon guy) and it was really really good! The eggs

The food was amazing when my burger come out it to hot eat it was great the fries were delicious. The service was great. The ambience was cool.

I was at Best Buy in Bethel Park this morning and googled restaurants nearby for lunch . I prefer local (non- chain) places, so when I saw Ma & Pop's Country Kitchen on South Park Road, I decided to try it. This is a very popular diner with delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly service. I got the Reuben and fries, which was one of the best I've had in a long time. If you're in the area, check this place out.

Wish I was in town for more than just a day because I would definitely come right back! Food was great at a fair price and the servers made me feel right at home, even though I’m front out of state. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to sit down and enjoy a nice hot breakfast with a warm cup of coffee.

On Friday got takeout for Fish and Shrimp. Food was very good. I'm from Brentwood, so it has very neighborhood local feel but very welcoming. Definitely will go back. Recommended.
