Beautiful restaurant. My husband and I ate here before going to the Dakota - very convenient! Our server, Lydia, was very helpful. Lumi has one of the best NA menus I've seen - many NA wines, mocktails, and beers. I had a great NA sparkling wine and my husband enjoyed his manhattan. We had the mezze plate, the mix kebab, and baklava. I would go back in a heartbeat for the mezze plate alone. Overall an outstanding experience at Lumi!
I had my doubts about this restaurant because of the location. The place is actually pretty good. We got a sample platter with different types of hummus, and they were all delicious. It came with their traditional bread, which was fresh and warm. We also got the mixed skewers, and it was very good. The seasoning is amazing. The service was excellent, and the waitress was very friendly. Very welcoming. It was a lot of food, so we could get dessert, and we took the rest to go. Definitely coming back.
Really great spot. We didn't have a reservation, but I would recommend getting one. The interior was nice and comfortable, although a little loud. The menu was big, and I would recommend ordering some Turkish cuisine. They also have lots of drink options. Service was just okay for us, but the food was delicious. The babaghanoush in particular was exceptional. I also loved the Adana Kebab. We had enough to eat, and the menu had clear markings on dietary restrictions and options. Prices were good, too, especially for the quality of food.
Closer to a 4.5 in terms of food quality, and it's only because of a few dishes that were mediocre that made me feel like giving it a 5 would be misleading. However, please allow me to say that having this establishment in Minneapolis is much needed because one can get food from various types of cuisines here and that itself honestly makes this place very valuable. Among all the dishes I have ordered over two times visiting here, my favorite was the kofte, which I know is a form of traditional Turkish dish, and what I loved about it was the ample amount of seasoning that defined the flavor of the ground beef & lamb and the sauce that would alter the flavor profile in a positive manner if needed. The pickled onion and rice offered extra means to enjoy the dish, so I utilized them to the ma
Recommend getting a reservation before going as it’s a pretty busy restaurant most days. Their menu offers various cuisines from American to Turkish, Italian, Indian, and Mediterranean. The food is really good but it can take a while to get your orders since it’s a busy restaurant. Definitely recommend trying their tiramisu though!
