The restaurant turned out to be an excellent choice: the location is charming and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The price is definitely on the higher side, but it’s justified by the quality and the generous portion of the lobster roll, which was truly abundant and packed with lobster—so much so that pieces were almost falling out of the bun. The quantity was more than sufficient, the ingredients were of excellent quality, and the overall experience was very positive and relaxing. All in all, it’s a highly recommended spot for anyone looking for a high-quality lobster roll and a pleasant dining experience.
Definitely packed on the crab on the crab roll, which was nice, pickle was solid, and the Cape Cod chips are excellent. The clam chowder, solid. The lobster bisque, too watery. Bathroom requires a code. Street parking. On the receipt the address is 1705 H St NW instead of the 800 17th St NW address here in Yelp/Google. Definitely like the crab roll more than lobster. Single person working (she was doing the rolls and then taking orders and running back and forth between prep and counter).
What a delicious little spot! Had the seafood trio with a shrimp, crab, and lobster roll. Fantastic! Highly recommend it and it's only a couple blocks from the metro/train.
First time at Luke's, we had high hopes for this place but it's not worth the money we paid for our lunch, the only good thing about the sandwich was the bread. The poppy seed slaw tasted a lot like vinegar, I only took a bite and had to leave it because of how bad it tasted. Service was only one person (taking order, prepairing food, bringing food to table). I also whish they could ask while ordering if you want your lobster roll warm.
My experience was okay. The lobster roll was piled high with incredible tasting lobster. However, I had ordered it warm and I could still tell that the inside of the claws and meat was still a tad cold. However, the bread that it's served on is amazing, and the seasoning they put on top is fantastic. I knew it was going to be a little bit pricier, but I was full with my chips and drink, and felt the experience was overall okay. Service could have been better (didn't really feel welcomed in the restaurant), but I'm just glad I had a good meal.
