Lucky Chix—more like Blessed Chix cuz their chicken will bless your taste buds and take them to heaven. Mind you, we got our order to-go, and then walked about 10 blocks in 40 degree weather before finally getting to enjoy it. The chicken was still fresh and crispy. Legit. That takes mad skills. Their chicken sando was top tier and one of the best ones I've ever had. I love when chicken thigh is used. It was so juicy and tender on the inside, and delightfully crunchy on the outside. The seasoning on the chicken paired extremely well with the pickled veggies and sauce inside, nailing that golden ratio of sweet and savory. We also got their half chicken with soy glaze and it was some of the best Korean fried chicken we've ever had. Again, that perfect crisp and juiciness was maintained after
I ate basically everything on the menu aside from the chicken nuggets, and it was all so delicious. This place is a true gem, and can compete with any fried chicken I’ve ever eaten (I’ve eaten a LOT). The sandwich seems to be most popular, but the sweet and spicy half chicken is the true winner in my opinion. Honestly though, you won’t be disappointed in anything you order from here. I’ll most certainly be back.
Lucky Chix is such a good addition to the neighborhood. Insanely crispy chicken (love the nuggets), some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had, and delicious extras like beignets. Every time I go I try something new and they never miss! Generous portions and the service is great—the chef/owner is super nice and fun to talk to. Can’t stop raving about this place!
Wow wow wow. The house fried chicken sandwich might be new Top 5 in NYC!! Made to order by the chef/owner Chef Park who is there every day. A crispy, crunchy, yet juicy & tender in the middle chicken thigh. Fried in beef tallow so the cornflake & flour batter isn’t too heavy. Topped with daikon/carrot slaw & a hefty squeeze of house-made gochujang aioli on a soft potato bun. Only $11. That is hard to beat. I love the small takeaway window. It’s very charming and feels special. You can eat at the counter too! Don’t skip on the beef tallow sweet potato fries or side of kimchi to cut through the fried goodness. 10/10 on the sandwich. Ask to sample the secret sauces he is working on in the back. Type of food that is best to eat on location for the best texture and crunch experience!
I've been wanting a korean fried chicken spot near me for the longest time. The double fried crispy chicken sandwich from Lucky Chix is unparalleled. A delectable crispy crunch on a generous hunk of tender and juicy chicken thigh in a perfect spicy sauce, topped with gojuchang aioli and shredded daikon for an irresistable combination of flavor. 🤩 I cannot recommend Lucky Chix enough. Cute little counter serve. Ordered ahead for pickup.
