Customer Reviews
Beautifull Italian bistro with a superb Italian American menu. Excellent service. Great choice for lunch or dinner in Carnegie!
We just went tonight for an early Valentine dinner. Jacob was our waiter. The place is so cute, warm, exposed brick and beautifully appointed. We had appetizers, meatballs and zucchini, 2 Lucatinis, 2 glasses of wonderful Italian red wines, barbera d'asti and a montepulciano d'abruzzo, veal marsala and margarita pizza. Topped it off with lemon torte and flourless chocolate cake. Absolutely FABULOUS! PLEASE GO!! A GEM! We will be back!!
I’ve had about 1 to 2 focaccia sandwiches in Pittsburgh and this is definitely the best one so far! The focaccia is fresh and crispy with an amazing chewy/fluffy interior! The owner even came out and went table to table asking how everything was. It can be tricky to get a table but understandably so, definitely the best place to eat in Carnegie and a new rival for some of Pittsburghs other Italian restaurants. Meatballs are great, dessert is great, the dip the ice cream in a thick dark chocolate making an awesome chocolate shell. You can’t really come here with groups bigger than 6, great for tables of 2-4
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience dining here! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was outstanding, the owner’s nephew Enzo ran circles around everyone and he was so polite! Our food was incredible, especially the focaccia and dips!!! It’s especially special for us that we got to bring my parents who saw Timmy and Joanne’s son bring his dream to reality (and my mom’s painting hung on the wall)!! Rico we wish you nothing but the best! We will be back!!
Lucatino is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt warm, cozy, and incredibly clean. The staff were outstanding, attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. The food was phenomenal. The focaccia was hands down the best I have ever had. Perfectly fresh and flavorful. The veal and peppers were to die for, and the beans and greens, oh my gosh, absolutely incredible. Even the salad was fresh and perfectly done. Honestly, we tried what felt like half the menu and every single dish was amazing. As a very Italian family, we can be pretty particular about our food, and Lucatino absolutely gets our full approval. We will definitely be back.
