LPF Southern Market

I read about this place on social media and decided to head out on a Saturday afternoon for an early dinner. It's exactly what I had hoped it was, a quiet place off the beaten path with great food at a fair price. The pimento cheese appetizer was really good. I had the Surf and Turf, as tender a sirloin as I have ever had, and she had the Redfish. Both dishes were delicious, cooked right and were generous in size. Laura took really good care of us and didn't hesitate to make some excellent menu recommendations. She was very attentive and we didn't have to ask for anything. I will be back.

Last night I had one of the best steaks I did not cook myself. We got it to go cause who wants to get dressed and leave the house these days? Ordered the ribeye with loaded baked tater and green beans. The potato was perfect. The beans which should be called Haricot verts and sold for $10 as a dish their own, were surprisingly delicious. Seasoned with what I think was the steak seasoning and lightly sautéed I found myself wanting more of them, now the steak. It was the perfect cut. Meat to fat ratio was the ideal. And the thickness was the model all ribeyes should be cut to. Cannot wait to have another with double green beans this time.

My family looks forward to dining at LPF. The staff is always friendly and the food…excellent! Their steaks are amazing and they have specials that have all been wonderful. We have even bought their beef and cooked it at home. 10/10 recommend you visit this gem in Branch!

This is the MOST surprising gem of a restaurant you will ever find! It’s one of those places you would first consider to be a “hole in wall” gas station, but once inside you are welcomed with an updated dining experience. You can go casual and meet the owners and even the chef! The meats are from their very own farm! The ribeye is to die for. Very tasty and tender and not “fatty” The fish and all of the accompanying vegetables are expertly cooked and flavored. The deserts are scrumptious! You can’t find a better meal, with several hundred miles so take the short drive, and come enjoy one the best meals you have ever had! The chef came from one of Brandon, Ms best acclaimed restaurant and that’s the “secret ingredient” to their success. Take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed!
