Hands down some of the BEST soul food I have had in a long time! Everything tasted freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely booming with flavor — you can truly taste the love in every bite. What made the experience even more special was the owner personally coming out to speak with us. He shared history about the city, local insight, and you can tell he is truly passionate about both his community and his restaurant. Being born and raised in the area, his pride shines through in the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality. The vibes were amazing, the service was warm and welcoming, and the entire experience felt genuine from start to finish. This place is worthy of a Michelin star in my personal opinion. The first time I had, their food was from their food truck and it was delicious. We happened to be driving back home to Satellite Beach from a Mims speaking engagement and the owner of this restaurant was also a fellow speaker. So we stopped by the restaurant as we had such a good experience with their food truck and their story is inspiring. Oh my God, their food is even better at the restaurant. We ordered so much food, and each every dish was so delicious! We started off with fried green tomatoes, fried okra, smothered fried pork chops, fried catfish, collard greens, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, and lima beans. We were told about this restaurant and my lovely wife just had to try the fried garlic crabs. The smothered pork chop and fixens were awesome. The entire staff was very friendly and more then accommodating. Definitely will be back.

First timer, from a rave review on Reddit. Mary, the owners wife, was friendly and terrific! Even came out to my car to meet Chuck the Poodle who was waiting patiently in the A/C. The food. Well. Wow! I had the "lunch special" which was a delicious combo of fresh grouper and fresh shrimp. It was grilled perfectly, and oh so tasty. Sides of collards, yum, and brussel sprouts, double yum, were the icing on the cake. The sweet tea was perfect for the meal. What could be more southern and more hospitable?! PS, I grabbed an order of 6 wings, with sweet chili sauce, for dinner at the hotel. 🤭 Loyd Have Mercy is directly on route one, just north of route 50. Easy drive from 95. (Maybe 4 miles) The ambieance was old home, with a touch of Alabama Fish Camp. The people were just as nice.

Funny, my wife found this place for me for my birthday. Im visiting Florida and the name pulled us in. Very "catchy", I went with my family and It was a great experience. Our server was great and the owner came out to meet us. Good Man and he can sure cook. The food was delicious The bill was very reasonable and the portions are full. We look forward to another visit to Loyd's in the future.
