First time trying this pizza. Deep dish. We got the special “Lou” it has spinach mushrooms and onion and of course cheese with butter crust. It was tasty but not as much as we expected. Our server Rob was super nice and attentive. He explained everything about the Chicago style pizza. The location was close to our hotel so we came this location in Evanston. I don’t know how the other locations. If you in Chicago you can try and at least you have idea what it is like.
We got the Lou’s Salad and medium Lou’s pizza with sausage along with the Italian meatballs appetizer. Everything was delicious. While I still prefer the other big pizza chain that starts with a G, Lou’s is great, too. Service was good although they seemed a little short staffed.
Delicious deep dish, Chicago style pizza right in Evanston! This famous pizza spot did not disappoint on any ends. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, and we all thought the Mike’s Hot Honey pizza was delicious. The crust was crunchy, and the sauce and cheese paired perfectly along with the other toppings. I highly recommend checking this place out for a taste of deep dish if you’re in Evanston!
Had lunch on a friend’s recommendation for deep pan pizza. It was ok, I think it contained more water content that turned the crust’s surface tastes as uncooked. Ordered extra cheese topping the qty was good but the cheese became chewy and hard and felt like a separate layer instead of merged with the meat and base. It could be the worth trying if it offer more types of cheese. The garlic bread was good but tastes more basic that means less to no seasoning. Salad was fresh and great.
Food is as per use for a lou’s. Heads up their happy hour ends at 5 not 5:30. The cookie pizza felt small imo.
