Los Palenques Mexican Restaurant

I met a work friend there who goes there a lot. He asked the waitress about some options for me, as I have a restrictive diet, and they were more than willing to accommodate. Our small bite to eat we had was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting.

The food was very good. Nice portion sizes, too. The server was friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. During our visit, the restaurant was busy, but there were still several tables available for quick seating.

Again, small town so limited options. The food was good as usual. We visited after church and got there before any other churches let out. So, when we got there, they were just opening the door and we got to sit wherever we wanted. After 15 minutes, the place was slam packed and you couldn't move. Waiters and waitresses had a difficult time getting to the tables to deliver food. But they managed to get to us and our food was hot and delicious. As usual, I love their homemade chips and salsa. We would definitely go back.

Food was wonderful portions. Questionable service was not very good. Take out wanted tips and got mad because I didn’t get tip because they were rude.
