Los Jimenez Mexican Food Truck

Los Jiménez catered two parties at my home and it has always been AMAZING! They were so incredibly kind and fast when taking the many orders we had from guests. Many people came back for seconds (and even thirds) which tells you how good the food is. I definitely recommend if you are looking for delicious food and/or a fun way to cater your party!

Think of this as the indulgent (bougie?) Mexican food truck. The food is more like what you'd get in a sit-down restaurant, which makes sense because it takes them a while to prepare it. Not speedy, but not slow either. I ordered the special shrimp tacos and they were great. The roasted poblano flavor was strong, making it clear that they really know authentic ingredients. My tacos were cheesy, gooey, creamy. My fingers were messy and I had to use utensils to scoop up the stuff that fell out of the double soft corn tortillas. Not what you want if you're rushing between classes, or hoping to eat in a hurry. But if you have time to sit down and enjoy your meal, with napkins close at hand, this is a solid choice. The steak quesadillas were so good and the man who takes the orders is so polite! I've been there 3 times and he is always polite. 10/10 food and customer service.

Updated with current menu photos: Have a mexican craving but don't have many options near Temple University? This truck really hits the spot. For only $9(went up from $8) you can get a huge al pastor burrito (that has red rice in it) and actually is tasty. It also comes with a side salad (really just lettuce and cheese) but hey, it's free lol. Tacos are also pretty good, not AMAZING but really the bang for your buck at this truck would be the burritos P.S. Have a burria taco craving? You can get it satisfied here!

I ordered a carnitas burrito and plantains. The burrito was honestly pretty rough. It had a lot of cartilage in it that made it difficult to eat. I get some, especially with homemade food, but this was too much. I had to pick out some from every bite. The flavor wasn't the best either, in a way the meat tasted old. That being said- the plantains were absolutely delicious and a huge serving! Cannot recommend them enough!
