Los Bravos Mexican Restaurant

Nothing to drive out of the way for, typical Mexican fare. The salsa had a tomato sauce flavor, no heat and no flavor. Had the Nacho Supreme, comes with beef and chicken, not a chicken fan but the chicken was large chunks of breast. Mostly flavorless meal. The waitress was pleasant. The atmosphere was that of an old country kitchen, probably because it is. Overall not awful just average to a little below.

The food was great! I ordered the Carnitas Special and my wife got Tacos al Pastor. The meat was perfect in both, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous. Rice & beans sides that came with each dish were equally generous and delicious. Combined with a very friendly wait staff, this was a wonderful dining experience! We will definitely be back next time we pass through town.

My taco salad was good, but not great. Ran out of tortilla chips and they didn’t offer to bring more. My husband said best tacos he’s had. Margarita was good and strong. The workers were all very nice and welcoming. Good spot for people with kids as well! Also menu was confusing as they had some prices whited out (might need to reprint some accurate menus). Overall good place to eat and will be back!

Us three were the only ones in the restaurant at 12 noon on a Saturday. That’s a red flag we regretted ignoring but decided to chance it anyway. The service was okay but the food was nothing to brag about. I had two bites of the carne sada and boxed the rest for the dog. The salsa tasted like ketchup and the tamale was 90% corn meal. Now we know why the place is deserted during peak hours.

Good food and great service. Nice to have some good Mexican food in Luverne. They serve a variety of items. The burritos and chimichangas are very good. The salsa compliments the chips. You can order different types of alcohol beverages such as beer and margaritas.
