Los Agaves Grill

We had heard about this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to get takeout. We had a big order and they got everything right and were also able to take away some margaritas. We really enjoyed the quality of the food. I got the Mexicana enchiladas and probably could have eaten a whole other their order of them. They were great. My daughter had the carnitas. Nachos were very good.

The bottom line is that the food was good and it had a nice atmosphere. I stopped here while traveling for work, and like I usually do, tried the local Mexican restaurant. They didn't serve Dos Equis Amber, despite having 8 beers on tap and more in the cooler, which simply baffled me. Also, I would have loved some guacamole on the Supreme Burrito. I'm definitely being picky here, but those two items are why they got 4 stars instead of 5.

This is a hidden gem in Athol. The staff here are hard working and very friendly. The food is consistently excellent. I had the Michalada and it was as advertised (now I know it's not for me). There is a lot of paid parking along the street. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

Very friendly and accommodating wait staff. The food and drinks were great and the desert was absolutely amazing! The fried ice cream and cheesecake chimichanga were absolutely incredible. We will be going back!

First, the good news: Service was spot on ("Shain"), and I liked that several of the staff smiled and said "Thank you for coming!" on our way out. I like that. But... The food was bland and uninspired. First clue was the super hot plates the food was served on. I used to work in restaurants, so I know that either means it was microwaved, or sat under a heat lamp for a long time. (I'll go with MW for this occasion.) I am so disappointed, having read glowing reviews of the pollo mole and other dishes. Maybe people think Mexican food should taste like what you got in the HS cafeteria? And - OMG, why am I getting a frozen mug for my drink? I ordered a beer, not a Frappuccino!
