Lonesome Pine Restaurant & Bar

I stopped by The Lonesome Pine and tried their walleye sandwich — absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked, light and flaky inside with a crispy golden crust. The bun was fresh, and the toppings complemented the walleye without overpowering it. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in their food. The atmosphere had that cozy up-north feel — relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. The staff was attentive especially Lori our server, she made sure everything was just right. Overall, a great experience and one I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Had a great visit (or two) to Lonesome Pine while enjoying a fantastic weekend at Bay Lake. Of course the atmosphere is totally up north Minnesota but the food was far better than expected and the owner came around to check on us a couple of times. Can recommend the Ribs, stir fry, rib eye and don’t forget to explore the specials of the day. I’m not a big mixed drink person but try the BootLegger - a house specialty - great summer drink. Finally we got takeout pizza one night and it was also better than expected. When you’re in the up north MN lakes - make sure you visit the LonesomePine !

Josh and Amy.... we simply can't say how much we appreciate EVERYTHING you did for KK and CJ's weddings. From initial meetings months ago to the backyard transformation right before the wedding... every I was dotted and T was crossed. We've heard nothing but raves about everything from everyone... the apps, the pasta bar, the service... everything was AMAZING. CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!! We love you guys and appreciate everything!

The atmosphere and location of the restaurant were great. However, we found the prices a bit high. Despite this, the food was definitely worth it. We ordered a Prime Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Tenderloin Stroganoff, and pasta with marinara sauce for the kid. The food was very tasty and enjoyable.

Went on a Wednesday at 4:15pm. Our food was not very good. The cheese curds were bland and the sauce was not even warm. The chicken parm was almost $30 and came complete with watery sauce, decent garlic bread that was very reminiscent of Texas Toast, and very plain & very cold chicken breast. The chicken stir fry was better and it had fresh vegetables but was still fairly plain. We spent $100 after 2 sodas, 2 meals, 1 app, and a tip. The host was quick and friendly and our server Ella was fairly attentive and quick. The atmosphere is nice, it’s fairly quiet, and I overheard that they offer birthday deserts. That’s nice. I do not think I will return anytime soon. It just was not worth the money. It is a bummer because this place is very hyped.
