The BEST dining experience in the Stockyards! A good friend recommended Lonesome Dove Western Bistro for our 39th anniversary dinner in December and I am glad we were able to book such a wonderful place. Our server Oscar was very helpful and guided us through their signature drinks, unique menu, sides and desserts. We started off with the tastiest drink, the jalapeño cucumber margarita. It is vibrant and flavorful, can't recommend it enough. We then sampled the rabbit-rattlesnake sausage as our appetizer. For our second course we selected the butter lettuce which is made with a delicious red chili buttermilk zesty dressing. As far as the main courses, we had the elk loin and roasted garlic stuffed beef tenderloin. We selected the burnt carrots and crispy Brussels for our sides. We d

It was our first time at Lonesome Dove and this was one of our best dining experiences ever! The first course was mindblowing (I recommend the lobster hush puppies and the elk slider). The Texas Red Chili was great, but the steaks stole the show! Cooked to perfection, and melted in the mouth. The asparagus, mashed potatoes and truffle Mac and cheese on the side were perfect. And the homemade vanilla ice cream and ancho chile chocolate cake were also extremely delicious! The hospitality is what you would expect: Southern and warm. Our waiter, Jeremy, was the best and he made us feel at home! Everyone on staff was so kind and made this dinner unforgettable. We’ll be coming back!

Finally got to try Tim Love's unassuming gem. Walking by you would miss this place with it's rustic door. Once inside it is very masculine and more like a hunting lodge. The inside dining room is less smoky although it is quieter in the front where the bar is. Welcoming staff from the moment we walked in. 3 Managers came by to say hi and introduce themselves. Great, though expensive wine list. We had the Senegal Cab. A very interesting, game heavy, menu. We started with the Fettine Trio. A "Charcuterie board" of Duck/Rabbit/Rattlesnake sausage - Black Buck/Pork Belly - Texas Wild Boar. Super thinly sliced. You couldn't really appreciate the flavors. For 1st course we tried: the Kangaroo Nachos, Interesting but chewy. The Blue Corn-Lobster Hush puppies that were soft and pillowy but no Lo

Lonesome Dove Western Bistro is one of those places that feels uniquely Fort Worth while still offering a refined dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes a great balance between upscale and relaxed, with a warm, inviting setting that never feels stiff or overly formal. It is the kind of place that works just as well for a special occasion as it does for a memorable night out. The menu focuses on bold flavors and high quality ingredients, with a Western-inspired approach that sets it apart from typical steakhouse fare. Dishes are thoughtfully prepared and full of character, and you can tell a lot of care goes into both flavor and presentation. The portions are satisfying without being excessive, and everything feels intentional rather than overdone. Service

Absolutely magnificent! One of the very best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating. If you're not familiar with this local steak house, it is easily comparable or (better than) national fine dining steak houses Del Frisco's, Capital Grille, etc. Don't miss it! Whether you're just visiting Fort Worth or live here, go! It's amazing!
