Lonerider at Oak Island

If you’re looking for the friendliest of bartenders and staff, visit John and the crew at the Lonerider! We were greeted with a smile, learned about the area a bit and have lots of laughs and a GREAT TIME!!! Can’t wait to come back in the summer for some outdoor seating and music vibes!!

Food quality was on the lower end and the service was even lower! Sad because with a location like this it has such potential! The bartender had zero personality at all that we sat with! It was overall disappointing and we came to spend time here so after this we just left to go hang at our house. May try to comeback and see if it changes. However another person mentioned the same issues, so hopes are low

The Lone Rider on Oak Island is truly one of the best spots on the island. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with an atmosphere that is clean, relaxed, and genuinely friendly. You can tell the team takes pride in what they’ve built here. Leisha and John are incredible — they’re always there, always working hard, and always greeting guests with a smile. That kind of hands-on ownership makes such a difference and it shows in every detail of the experience. The wings are fantastic, the beers are great, and the drinks are always spot on. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink, watching a game, or meeting friends, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Hope to see you there!

The pretzels bits and chicken nachos were average at best. The beer was good and cold, but the bartender’s service was even colder. No smile, can I help you? or thank you. I felt like he should have tipped me since I felt as thought I needed to thank him for serving us. The band was excellent and the night was fun with friends.

We love Lonerider! Their pretzel bites are so good and the beer cheese is outstanding!! Sooooo good! We also love their fish and tots. Their fish batter is English pub style and absolutely delicious! Beer is always great. Service is friendly and hard working, despite often being under staffed. The location and views here are absolutely fabulous! Bring some island-vibe patience and enjoy the visit. Highly recommend it!
