Customer Reviews
We heard Lola's Lakehouse decorates over the top for the holidays and had to see for ourselves. The place had a crazy amount of Christmas decor and lighting. The holiday menus were modified with a Christmas theme. Everyone loved their cocktails including my wife's mocktail. The shrimp cocktail was awesome and it was a large portion for the four of us. We also had the brie cheese with bread, a very tasty app. Our friends had the salmon and walleye. The salmon was good but a little dry. My wife and I had the tri-tip which was good. Not sure that's my favorite cut of meat. Server and wait staff were friendly and inviting. This place is nestled along the lake and was a perfect setting for dinner. It's an hour and a half away from home but I'll be back.
We decide to try this place because of their pop-up Christmas decorations and the atmosphere did not disappoint. It was cozy and festive which we really enjoyed. I ordered a holiday cocktail and it was very good. However I did wish the menu offered more meat options such as beef and chicken. I ordered the pancetta and fig flatbread. Unfortunately I didn't realized until I got home that it came with goat cheese or some sort of cheese instead of the advertised butternut squash puree and fried Brussels sprout leaves. Whiling the flavor was sweet and interesting overall I'd rate it 5/10. My husband had the fish and chips. The cod was huge, meaty and crispy but the batter itself lacked seasoning so the tartar sauce ended up carrying most of the flavor. He gave it a 6/10 We also tried to order
Overall the atmosphere was incredible. I had never been here during their holiday displays before and it was so fun to see and experience finally. I had ordered the scallops, and while delicious, I have to note everyone at our table felt the portions for price was a little off. Some of us felt we still needed to order more after finishing our entrees, so we did add in some sides and then felt satisfied. The sides come as a really nice size for sharing, just noting for the meal itself, you may want to add something to it as you're ordering (or plan for dessert, which by the way - STRONGLY recommend the crème brûlée. That was next level delicious). ✨
My wife and I went to Lolas Lakehouse and the whole experience was impressive from the moment we walked in. The place is decorated from top to bottom for Christmas and every room feels like a different holiday scene. It felt like stepping into a holiday movie and the atmosphere alone made the visit worth it. John was our server and he took great care of us. He checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was good and everything looked great. The only thing that was off was the shrimp because they were overcooked but everything else tasted really good. Overall my wife and I had a great visit. The service was solid the decorations were beautiful and even with the shrimp being overcooked we would still go back because the whole place had a warm and welcoming vibe.
This place was recommended to us by a friend because of their holiday decorations. It was our fist time visiting and we were delighted! Each room had a theme and was decorated amazingly. I had the walleye and it was really good. Their mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had! We will be back!
