A "Wisconsin fancy" Midwestern spin on the HiFi bar. A HiFi love letter to the low brow, if you will. High end sound mixed with quality food and cocktails, and a no frills attitude. Hungry? Our global tavern food (served late!) consisting of cracker... More

We’ve been wanting to try Lola’s for a while and we are SOO glad we did. It is such a cool place. From the moment you walk in the vibe feels retro and laid back with the sounds of vinyl, the 60/70s decor, and the great staff. The menu is eclectic with something for everyone. The cocktails were delicious. It’s clean and the service was attentive and welcoming. We will be back!
First visit to Lola's, the former Jacobson Meat Market. The vibe is Madison hipster, ecelitic but interesting. Server was nice but her patience was tested by a table of "boomers". Table enjoyed delicious cheese curds, enjoyed with cocktails and beer. Dinner was more interesting - baked ziti with delicata, baked ziti with sausage, smash burger, & pan fried pork dumplings. Ziti was dry yet tasteful. Dumplings were dry and served "over sauced". The menu matched the vibe. Overall an acceptable visit but not too impressed by the contrived attitude and atmosphere.
When it comes to the quality of a business, you can immediately begin to tell based off your first impressions of the interior- the moment you open the second set of doors, you're greeted with a fancy, colorful interior with tons of happy customers and good vibes. We were immediately seated, and while we were a bit overwhelmed due to it being our first time, the kindness of our server definitely helped us settle in. The drinks are out of this world, and the food matches that perfectly. We got the arancini, the carbonara deviled eggs, a carne asada taco (with pineapple salsa), the beer cheese soup, and the andes mint cheesecake. All were stellar, but my personal favorite of them all was the arancini! The holiday menu that's currently available is full of delicious food and drinks (includi
I loved Lola's Hi/Logout Lounge!! The atmosphere they have going makes me want to come back despite the opinion that I felt the food didn't blow me away. A very 70s/80s vintage feel to the restaurant. I had the deviled eggs, not pictured and I was actually disappointed because the pictures made it look so good. The chicken dumplings were well made and sauced and not very spicy. The spicy dan dan noodles were also not spicy at all and just fine. The smash burger was delicious and the sauce on it was fire. I also liked the homeade ketchup and ranch. The ranch felt more like a garlic sauce to me but I was not upset about that. The lolas spin was also quite fun! I would recommend this because of the experience but the I wouldn't overhyped the food. It's good, but I was expecting for it to
Fun place with a fun casual vibe. Music is pretty good but given how much hype the food received online, I didnt think it lived up to it. We ordered Sichuan Chicken dumplings which were decent but way too salty. Also had the Kathylicuous pizza which was decent but nothing to write home about. And lastly the pasta (dont remember the exact name) which was very very good - probably the highlight of the night. Also tried out 2 mocktails both of which were quite good although a little on the pricier side. The overall bill for all this came to around $90. If you are bored by the Madison food scene in general, might be a good place to try out. Maybe you end up ordering differently and have better luck than us.
