Local Patriot Roasting Company

We were exploring Kannapolis with our son, today. He only has another week before he heads back to university. Suddenly everyone wanted coffee and I had been wanting to try Local Patriot Roasting Co. so we popped in this afternoon. I took lots of pics to show the details. I think it’s a cute space, too! This is a cute, unique little coffee place. I loved the atmosphere as well as the products. I got my latte, which was quite good! They’re located right by a fun walkway in town that had swings and other shops to check out. I would love to get a good coffee here and get some with it reading done. Check it out!

LOVE Local Patriot!! I go most every morning to get my day started. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere. Always good to catch up with the locals in the mornings as we're starting our work days. Owner is a total hottie too

Sunday morning and this place was hopping. A significant queue that never did seem to get resolved while I was here and watching. This is a nice spot for sitting and working on laptops as there is power at each of the high top tables, the wifi worked well and the coffee is good. I'm not sure how long you can park along West Avenue but on the weekend it did not seem to be limited. I enjoyed my drip coffee and I enjoyed writing a Yelp review or five. This was a comfy space.

When the drink is made correctly, it is great. The issue I’ve run into several times is, if there is more than one person in line behind you, they will make espresso based drinks with cold brew instead and not tell you they are substituting it. I order an iced latte because I want espresso, I’m not a fan of cold brew. I understand that pulling a shot takes longer, but it is deceptive to not let the customer know you’re make a substitution. It’s disappointing every time and has made me choose other coffee shops in the area instead. If they didn’t do that, it would be my preferred coffee spot.
