Awesome polish restaurant. Really good sourdough bread with herb butter and lard with crispy pork skin as the starter. Delicious kielbasa and mustard and unreal pierogies. We had the potato and farmers cheese and lamb neck pierogies. Would highly recommend both. Rotisserie pork with potatoes and bigos was delicious. Quick friendly service and great cocktails as well.
I've have Polish food and many perogies. This is my the first time trying Polish food in Philly. Regardless, it's impossible for everything to be this salty. The complementary butter and spread was my favorite dish out of everything. The ruskie was better than the lamb pierogi. The flavors of the pork dish weren't cohesive. The monkfish "soup" was the most confusing. The server called it a "soup" so I thought, maybe a borscht - light, citrus, earthy. But wow it was a brine - so salty and not something I'd drink! I was full by the end of the night but not because of the food... People have mentioned this before in your reviews - please read them!!!!
Some of the best food I’ve had In a long time. first time here and it was fireee; we ordered the potato pierogis, the lamb neck pierogis, and the kielbasa for starters and split the smoked monkfish as our entree. I also got the tart cherry mocktail and my bf got the apple milk foamy cocktail.
First stop on a Fishtown/Kensington food tour. The tasting menu is a MUST! An enormous amount of food for $65 a head. Not your typical pierogis, but still very tasty. The lamb neck ones were the highlight. The rotisserie pork was the star of the show!
Modern inspired Polish food. Each dish we ordered the chef made heartily. I would recommend the kielbasa and pierogi rustika. We had the pork shank special: tasty, salty pork. I wish they had beet soup.
