Amazing place. The staff was beyond friendly. The fish and chips.... Speechless. Fries are better than Five Guys, the fish had a satisfying crunch while being tender, and flaky. Add the malt vinegar and it's crazy how good it is. I wished I lived closer but one day I'll be back and I will be here at Little Taste of Britain.
My first time at a”British themed restaurant”…It was really good. The fish and chips might be the best I’ve had. Never been to the UK but compared to US fish and chips these were awesome! Great atmosphere. I’d go again 😊
Finding Little Taste of Britain in Layton felt a bit like stepping into the TARDIS, you think you’re going for lunch, and suddenly you’re surrounded by Union Jacks, tributes to the royal family, shelves of Cadbury, and even a police box. It’s not exactly London, but with British TV on the screen and cheeky booths named after famous spots, you forget for a moment you’re in Utah. The fish and chips were, dare I say, fantastic (yes, I’m channeling the Ninth Doctor here). My buddy added shrimp to his order, proving he’s more adventurous than me, though perhaps less canonically British. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was charmingly quirky, and the food hearty enough to stave off any Dalek invasion. True, Britain isn’t always celebrated for its cuisine, but here the comfort and charm car
First time here. Yes, there is a shop of mostly sweets and some British food items. Cutest booths to sit in. We have been avoiding fried foods so the fish and chips were a little greasy for us but the fish portions were adequate, the fish itself white and flaky, the outside with a nice crunch. Noticed the sign that sauces had to be added when ordering but didn't realize that the reason was because they were an extra 25¢ each. Happy that we used both of them up. Ketchup self serve and free. A good amount of business so many people like this place. Next time we are trying the shepherd's pie.
My wife (being from England) and I were super excited to visit this place. Been wanting to since she first visited the US years ago. I’ve been to England enough to know what a good chippy tastes like and I must say this place is amazing! They serve you plenty of options and have a good variety of shelf and freezer food you could buy in England! The whole vibe was as good as it could have got. Cute seaside seating with lots of cheap tacky photos of the UK that actually added more charm than you’d think. The food was delicious! Fish was battered great and tasted fresh. The chips were crispy, big and hot! Served with a nice curry sauce, salt and vinegar it was spot on! Will be coming back again!
