I was actually heading to get some fast food on University when I saw the grand opening sign and decided to loop around. I’m so glad I did. It’s right across from the City Park on Sunset Strip. I’m always looking for a new Jamaican spot for when I don’t feel like cooking, and Lick Yuh Finga is definitely it. Right when you walk in, you get that mom and pop welcoming vibe where they make you feel at home. They gave me a sample of the soup while I was ordering, which I think was for the grand opening. Man, that soup was good. It was a bit spicy but the kind of spicy good where everything tastes fresh. The food is legit y’all. It tastes like mama’s home cooking, not salty but just full of flavor. A prrfect spot to enjoy delicious Jamaican food!! The owner is so friendly & has been there each time I have gone for lunch!! If you are worried about spicy … don’t worry, she will make it perfect for your tastes!!! True this spot…..you will love it!!
