Library

I have been coming here to the library for about ten years now. I have also donated hundreds of books to library. My thing is when I first started coming here the employees were very friendly and there still are a couple that are nice . Though recently including today I walked in , the receptionist gave me a look , rolled her eyes and turned her head . Now , if this is how the employees are trained in the library lately , then I will stop coming into the library . These new employees need to be trained on proper etiquette .

I now have something to do with my life. Every third Tuesday of the month there is a craft for adults and it's FREE !!! There is always something to do for the children . Most of the ladies that work here are so very nice which makes me feel so welcome here.

My family loves the Van Buren Library system. It is like having 7 libraries at our disposal. The currier that goes from one branch to another to deliver and pick up books each day is the most amazing asset they have. The staff take very good care of our family every time we are in. They provide many children's programs and lend out hooked on phonics which allowed our now 5 year old to learn to read at the age of 3. Keep up the great work Decatur!!

Everything has just been redone. It looks great. It will take a little time to get used to where things are but it's really nice. It's more open and the person at the desk can see everything now.

Polite, welcoming staff, great selection of books and free wifi hotspot!
