Customer Reviews
We ended up at this restaurant by chance after arriving in Dohatsuten for lunch—our original choice had just closed right before we got there due to their unusual hours. We ordered what the waitress recommended since I didn’t want fried rice, just plain rice. Everything turned out to be very delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was flavorful—not spicy, just the right amount of sweetness. The nudges was rich and satisfying, with a large prawn and a generous piece of calamari. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend. Atmosphere fabulous.
The stone pot rice tastes pretty good. Chicken wings are great. But the chicken pho is very disappointing. The dark meat is dry and chewy, the broth probably has a lot of MSG.
Summary: Tasty Vietnamese restaurant in mid town area. Same plaza as Pizza. Lots of indoor seating. Price is about $17-18 for noodle. The lemongrass noodle (Bun bo hue) is tasty. Portion is smaller than authentic mom/pop place. Overall a solid place and we will come back.
There I was, hungover and sick looking for something to cure me from a night of drinking. So, my partner and I made our way over to Lequy in Mountain View. We ordered the pho dac biet and the wagyu pho. I thought the pho was solid and definitely hit the spot, but wasn’t anything extraordinary either. I think the presentation of the wagyu pho was really neat with the hot bowl of soup and meat on the side. But at the end of the day, it was just a bowl of pho with brisket. I think the pricing is fine, and is very on par with other Vietnamese restaurants in the bay area.
Really good food. The portion is decent. The pho is tasty with a decent amount of protein. I didn’t get thirsty afterwards (maybe the soup doesn’t have MSG?). Their Pad Thai is surprisingly good for a Vietnamese restaurant.
