Leopold's Ice Cream

For over a decade I have never found a place that has had better ice cream than a local ice cream shop in the city I live in. After recommendations from Savannah locals, I was able to try some ice cream at Leopolds before my flight home. That decade long streak has now been broken. Leopolds has the best ice cream I have ever tasted in a long time. Not overly sweet and has a natural taste to it. Not sure when I’ll get to have this ice cream again but would recommend to anyone visiting. You won’t be disappointed!

I always look forward to my trips through Savannah Airport, mainly because I get to indulge in my favorite treat at **Leopold’s Ice Cream**. The pistachio ice cream is absolutely delightful—creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. While I don't buy it every time, it's always a special treat when I do. One thing to note is that Leopold’s at Savannah Airport is cashless, so make sure to have your card ready for payment. This might be inconvenient for some, but the quick service and ease of transactions more than make up for it. The selection of ice cream here is impressive. There are definitely more than ten flavors to choose from, catering to a variety of tastes. My husband is a huge fan of their cookie ice cream, which he finds irresistible. One of my favorite spots in Savannah! Be prepared to wait in line, but I promise the wait even in the heat of Summer is worth it! Lots of flavors to sample and choose from including seasonal rotations. The coffee ice cream is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Decor is movie posters and an old jukebox.

Tried cookies2 child size & mint chocolate chip scoop Cookies was great, it’s cookie bits mixed in and actual cookie batter chunks too. The girl working was killin it, she was the only one there and the line stayed long. Fast and super friendly. She is also so pretty 🤭Generous scoops, the kids was plenty for me!

I was sitting at the airport going home on emergency leave to attend my grandfather’s funeral. I have been so exhausted and stressed and the lovely Leopolds working came and sat next to me and asked what my favorite ice cream was. We made small talk for a bit and she goes “give me one second” and comes back with my favorite ice cream. “You looked stressed and I just want you to know that I noticed… somebody noticed.” I will forever regret not getting her name and will cherish this small interaction forever.
