Lennie's Brewpub

This was my first time at this restaurant and this is definitely a run don't walk to place! First and most importantly the service and friendliness of the staff is second to none! Everyone was super kind and helpful in making selections for both food and drinks. I had the pleasure of getting served by Cara and Elliot and I hope the restaurant is using these people to train future workers. I started with the Cajun barbecue shrimp which is phenomenal. And then I did the create your own pizza and went with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and red sauce. This is hands down the best pizza I have ever had in Bloomington and it's near the top of the list in the entire state of Indiana that I have had so far. I was on the hunt for a unique dining spot and stumbled upon Lennie's. Honestly, I didn't even know what kind of cuisine they offered, but with a name like that and top ratings, it was a "yes from me, dawg." Finding a parking spot right out front was a pleasant surprise--cheap and convenient! The charm started before I even walked in, as the building front and the whole street had a cute, inviting vibe. Once inside, I was even more impressed. The artwork on the walls and the mellow music created a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The menu had so many options that it was tough to decide, but I finally went with a large multi-grain crust pizza topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomato, and pepperoni (a combo I didn't plan, but cravings don't lie). This was my first visit to Lennie’s. We had a reservation for a large party. We were taken upstairs, which was really nice. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The food came out in a timely fashion and everything was correct. I ordered the bacon turkey melt and it was fabulous. My boyfriend ordered the French onion soup and he was not disappointed. We will definitely try eating here again! I will mention that they do have “tofu”as an alternative to meat.

We ordered the spinach and artichoke tortas, a make-your-own pizza with jalapeños and hot italian sausage, and the soup of the day (loaded potato soup). All three were very delicious. Service was great. The only complaint is that the IU game was only playing on one smaller TV on the other side of the restaurant.

I have been coming to Lennie's for years. The food is always delicious! Today was no exception! Stromboli - create your own. I went with the Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, spinach, roasted portobello mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. House salad - I love the salads here. This features their homemade roasted red pepper dressing. It is very very good. Wine - I went for the Cabernet. My very good friend chose the Chardonnay. The wine is very good, though it is also very pricey. Spinach Artichoke Appetizer - my friend loves ordering this as her meal. I have had it before. It is very very good. Overall the food is outstanding. The service is wonderful. The restaurant is very clean. It is a little pricey for lunch, but of course we each got two glasses of wine - so that's four glass
