Customer Reviews
We homeschool and have a large family so use the library a lot. I tend to jump around the county, but this is the closest one to our house. The biggest pro: We love the children's librarians. Ms. Courtney plans such fun things for the kids. We participated in her art and coding classes last year. We unfortunately cannot do her classes this year because the timing does not work. But she plans great events for the kids. Whoever does the displays and different things for the kids is very good at their job and you can tell they really care. I do wish it was a bigger area. The parking situation usually sucks unless you come first thing in the morning or right before they close. The worst thing is whoever runs the book check in. Its a power trip. They have attempted to charge us for books we did
Good people here. Always available and ready to help. They do have computers here for those who need public access to the Internet. They also have DVDs and console games for those looking for entertainment out of a book. Other than that, they have everything here.
Theres zero place to sit comfortably and read a book to a child. Theres tables and chairs but nothing like they have for adults. To also say... Their youth area is closed until the afternoon? Teens that go to the library cant barely sit in the area without being thrown out because they can only browse until then. Mind you my teens are homeschooled so for them... and for all the other teens that are homeschooled theres noone to help them in their area but after school comes out they do place someone there. That makes it feel like homeschooled kids arent important and only the school kids are the ones that can get the attention. On the small children activities when it say 0-5 they let kids way pass that age gap and they dont even let the smaller kids play correctly. I could see maybe a 6 ye
The leesburg library has a ton of great free events every week and free online resources. You can check out DVD's, CD's, Video games and more. This library also offers technology help and free tax appointments. You can make passport appointments as well.
Clean, nice and air conditioned, and spacious and cozy. Has a really good selection of graphic novels and manga and videos. The librarians are friendly and found my lost library card and will gladly help you find books.
