If we’re talking about hidden gems, this place is absolutely what we mean! 10/10 food, service, flavor profile, depth, pricing. I randomly found this on Google coming from the gym and it had really good reviews so I decided to stop in. The woman at the counter Lisa was so friendly and accommodating, and helping me make my decision. She really took the time to describe all of the ingredients to me and decipher which dish would be best suited for me. I ended up getting the Thai peanut noodles with shrimp, after one bite I was blown away at the flavor. So delicious, not too salty, not too sweet. Just the perfect flavor profile. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and it was nice and steaming hot. Oh & the chilli crisp on the side??? IN LOVE. I decided to eat in, and they provided me with a f
We needed to grab a bite before a performance, and we sure picked the right spot. Incredibly friendly and generous service, with delicious juicy dumplings and a mango salad that hit every note! Definitely built for takeout, we still had a really nice time eating at the two seats in the window before bundling up the hefty leftovers (portion size is fantastic). I'll definitely be back!!
This is the kind of place that unless its your destination, your peripheral vision is going to notice it. I went at about 2 PM on Thu. Only 2 seats in the place. I had the Chicken with Cilantro dumplings. My concerns on quantity were dismissed when I was served what you see in the pix. I left full and fully satisfied. You could smell them being prepared. Everything is made to order. Portions were generous with the moist chicken and accompanying sauce working perfectly. I am most definitely returning this weekend. If I liked it, you'll love it.
Their cheesesteak dumplings w Sriracha cheese sauce are by far the best I've ever tasted. My family and I love dumplings but these are on another level and unique. When I'm back in Philly, this is going to be one of my first stops!
I am a large guy with a very high standard for quality food. Lee’s Dumpling, and I am not exaggerating, is truly a Philadelphia gem. The love and passion that goes into this restaurant can be felt from a mile away. Normally with fried rice, you can kind of expect how it’s going to taste. HOWEVER, I ordered the anchovy fried rice with chicken here and was immediately blown away by the umami, portion size and presentation. To top it all off, the value of this meal is insane. This was an elevated experience and Lee’s Dumpling will be my go to restaurant going forward.
