My partner and I came in for an early dinner around 4:45pm. The host was friendly and knowledgeable, took the time to talk to us about the different food options and some of the history. First thing I noticed when we sat down was a beautiful painting on the wall in front of us of a woman. I didnt get a chance to look at all of the artwork on the walls, but the ones I did see were lovely. 🎨 We are pescatarian, so I got the legumes and my partner got the fish. Both were delicious and we will definitely be going back. 💯 The appetizers we had were fried plantains and akra. Im not big on fried stuff, but it came with a spicey relish that was very good. 😋
We bought the oxtail plate. The oxtails were well seasoned, very tender but extremely oily/greasy. There was no gravy. Only got 1 good sized oxtail and the rest were extremely small. Rice and peas were okay, flavor wasn’t overly pronounced, some peas weren’t cooked all the way but the rice was very fluffy. Pikliz was good just would like it spicier. Salad was just ok. Overall a 3.5 but rounded up. Expected more for $35
Came here for lunch on 11/5. I ordered the Fried Goat plate for $26. Food came pretty quick, about 8-10 minutes. Presentation was very nice and portions were generous. For the price of the meal, you get a bowl with the meat, bowl of rice, two large fried plantains. And a little bit of a spicy slaw which went excellent with the meat. The goat was very nice, fatty and rich with a lovely fried crust. Everything was great and I'm excited to come back and try the other options, which I know will be as delicious. Very highly recommend, Ralph was very friendly and we had a nice conversation.
I drove over an hour after work to try this new Haitian restaurant and trust me I was not disappointed. I’ve had the legumes, fritay, akra and kremas everything was delicious. Ralph the owner made sure I was taken care of. This is the only Haitian restaurant I would recommend. I’ve tried several I was disappointed.
How exciting to have an authentic Haitian restaurant in Moreno Valley. Rich, hearty and flavorful island food like youve never tasted before. The Djon Djon rice , goat, oxtail, pikliz was just like out my family's kitchen. I can't wait to try others things on the menu. I would definitely recommend trying this place. If you've never had Haitian food before you will love it. Great ambiance for Date night, family or friend getting together. Haitian art. Live music. This is a great addition to Moreno Valley.
