Lawrence Public Library

Can be very stingy with how long and often you can take out and renew a game. Like if no one is taking it out and they know its a low call thing they should stop being so stingy and let renew again like a book. This library should have more consoles games. Theyre too conservative books as if books are so cool and overall with things that mostly collect dust. The attitude is very stingy as if its a personal item one is lending, guys its funded by state and taxes, calm down.

Came here to do the adult paint night with Tracy! Such a great experience, Tracy was so patient and helpful giving us steps by step instructions. Snacks and drinks were provided as well! Very grateful for the library free resources to the community, this is a great opportunity to get involved!

I went to use the computer just to print something out . No more than 15 minutes. I was there with my daughter who was out of school that day. She asked me, did she go to school today? I said no. She said well she cant be here during school hours.i said im her parent , she's with me! She just walked away.mind you my kid is 9. Its not like its a high school kid skipping school! So am i not suppose to do my errands ? And wait till after school hours when the library only open till 5 and her school ends like at 330pm. Unbelievable.

Very nice staff but the place is sometimes taken over by people who speak to loudly, thinking the library is their personal office to make calls and stuff. The bathroom situation is horrible, people locking themselves for 30 minutes (idk what they are doing inside). This guy even complained that whike inside 5 times people knocked on the door (he took like 25 minutes). RNs take patients there to spend time doing nothing and occupying tables. I believe a library is to research and study, this is not it.

Can't tell if this is a playground or a library. People are always screaming and very loud and the staff pretty much don't do anything about it. You go in thinking that your going to have some quiet time and read a book or maybe do some work but it suddenly changes to a headache . The library is decently organized but the staff don't do anything. I understand it's a public library but please have some order.
