I am super happy to make this review. When Lava in Kilgore first opened, they had a full menu with outstanding food and Sushi. Then, a few months later, they went to BUFFET ONLY. This was not so good. I went there last Saturday, Dec 27, 2025. THEY HAVE THE FULL MENU AGAIN. The meal was exceptional, and the service was great. So now there is a Buffett (for those that like it) and a full menu with Sushi Rolls that are great. I ordered the Shashimi Plate, which was the best I have ever had.
Very chill and relaxing. The sushi was amazing! Staff were very nice.
We love Lava! New Management! Tina, Breanna, and Chef always greet us with a smile! Food is always fresh amd best sushi I have ever had!
I have placed to go orders a few times since it has came under new management. The food was amazing and they now offer sushi and sashimi. We will definitely be ordering from there again.
I got a to-go lunch buffet, with tax was $15. Food was great, place wax clean. The Chinese buffet doughnuts were perfect.
