Laughing Planet

We enjoyed the food, all the ingredients tasted fresh and the proportions were generous. The staff were helpful and personable. The dining area and restrooms were clean. The food is bright out quickly. My only complaint was that it was a little dark inside. That wouldn't prevent me from coming back to try other menu items. I greatly enjoyed my comfort bowl.

To be quite honest, laughing planet as a whole does not deserve a 5 star review. However, my recent, wonderful customer service experience compelled me to leave this glowing review today. Since the pandemic, laughing planet has really been slipping, and on some occasions resembles more of a laughing stock. The food quality has wobbled, order accuracy has declined, and the mood amongst the staff is sometimes downright dismal. My experience the other night was the exact opposite of these gloomy trends. We came in with a large group near closing (which is always annoying) and the staff, particularly one staff member named India could not have given us better service. There’s something about this place that really livens up my spirit. Maybe it’s the antique toys, or the funky colored walls, or maybe it was my server with a septum ring and a friendly smile. She made me a delicious smoothie and treated me like a friend when I was having a rough week. Thank you laughing planet!

I have been here three or four times with my brother. I like this place. Ate the Mushroom Taco. I have partook of several different burritos, the SW Green Chili being the most recent. Good flavors, everything comes through, each and every ingredient. The little salsa that came with the taco kicked some nice, flavorful heat all over the place. The people who work here are a fine lot, indeed. I have no need for employees of any business to be nice. I can't ask for more than what I pay for. My daughter lives to come here when she wants something healthy. Yes it's a little bit more than other places but worth it. Weekday made me come and leave this review though is that it's in times of hardship that you learn who are good people and who are your friends. Let it be known that when the government shutdown is threatening the foodstamps of the poor, yes my family are poor, this beautiful business steps up and says "just ask for snap adult or snap child and we got you". I am absolutely floored. It puts me in mind of a protective father figure stepping in to protect his family. And for this I will never forget such kindness, caring and community spirit.
