Latorre House Bed & Breakfast

Our family of 6 adults and 4 young children thoroughly enjoyed our stay in 3 of the rooms at the LaTorre House. Doreen, Cassie and the rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful both before and during our visit. We enjoyed the made to order breakfast and took advantage of the free pool passes for Knoebels that we received during our stay. The house is clean and offers plenty of choices for bedrooms depending on the size of your party. We also appreciated learning the history of the LaTorre Family and how the Knoebel Family continues their legacy through this bed and breakfast. If you're going to visit Knoebels this is the perfect place to stay!

We stayed in the safari room. The house was cozy and welcoming. A note welcomed us upon our arrival and we were pleased to find tea in the fridge to help us as we settled in. The setting at the house was picturesque with a fireplace and chairs out back. There was a common sitting room at the entryway and a sign-up sheet for breakfast. Tickets for the pool at the park were offered in the morning during breakfast. We were close to Knoebels but still needed to drive down to the park. The roadway moves quite fast! Great no-frills B&B in proximity to Knoebels attractions. The room was clean overall. Easy check in and check out process. Plenty of parking on the property. There's a Sheetz down the road in case you need snacks or toiletries. We didn't use the wifi, but we had great cell service. The pool passes were a nice bonus. Would stay here again.

When the staff are talking poorly about the guests while they're in the next room, it's not a great start. We rented out the house for a week, and were constantly faced with grumpy staff and grumbling because we dared to use the sofa bed for one of our group. Apparently you're not supposed to use it....so why is it there? Additionally, while we used the breakfast roster as requested, one of our number was a nursing mother and had to deal with a baby emergency during her allotted eating time. Apparently, this was a breach of etiquette worthy of being refused service when she was finally free. I personally inspected the property before we left and it was in good order and free of trash, and all the rooms were put together as we found them. Despite this, we "didn't clean it enough". Our 3 families with small children had a wonderful time staying at Latorre Bed and Breakfast. The house was extremely clean and inviting, and had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and we had a delicious made-to-order breakfast every morning. We were 2 minutes away from Knoebels, making it easy to return to the house for naps or breaks. There was also a beautiful yard with lovely landscaping, a fire pit and string lights. The breakfast staff was friendly and even offered to take our family photo on the lawn the last day. If I have any suggestions at all, it would be for Latorre to update their photos on its website! The photos appear a bit dark and tired but the house impressed us and we would stay there again.
