This place is so well maintained. Once you get inside it's so comfortable and cozy that you feel at home, not like you're clear out in the wilds of the north. Everything was clean and tidy. Susan is a gem! I highly recommend you stay here for work or for play.

Latitude 71 B&B is outstanding! From the beginning, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. What a beautiful home and atmosphere, tastefully decorated with authentic Alaskan art. Our suite was clean and fresh with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom with all the amenities, blackout shades for sleeping (24 hours of summer sun), large tv, comfy lounge area. The inn was fully booked but not crowded. Hosts and guests alike were very friendly, and Susan is a fabulous cook!

We are very grateful we decided to stay at this B&B for our trip to Barrow. Susan and Myron are wonderful hosts, and made us feel at home in their comfortable and clean place. They arranged for our tour to Barrow point with native guides who were able to tell us about their culture and as a bonus we were able to see a large pod of Beluga whales feeding and frolicking about. We ate dinner and breakfast at the B&B, Susan is a fantastic cook, serving home cooked meals and make sure we had plenty to eat. The next day after checkout time, they provided a lounge area as our home base where we could leave our bags as we toured around town, fridge space for our take out lunch leftovers, and a place to kick back and rest until we were able to board our evening flight (which had been delayed).

Our stay at Latitude 71 exceeded our expectations. The accommodations are immaculate, beautiful, and very comfortable. The hostess is warm and gracious. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. She connected us with a local, Native Alaskan, tour guide which was awesome (see the bear photo!), and even permitted a delayed check out.

I finally took my dream vacation to the Arctic, and am so glad that I chose Latitude 71 for my stay. Susan and Myron were the perfect hosts and their home was absolutely gorgeous. Susan really made me feel welcome as I tagged along with her on some of her errands to see what living in Barrow is really like. As a solo female traveler, I also really appreciated her concern for me, that I would not put myself in unsafe circumstances with unknown people or polar bears. The food was top quality, and the home was full of Arctic artifacts that submerged you in the culture. Will definitely return for future trips!
