Las Trancas Mexican Cantina

I swear you people who leave restaurant reviews have no taste buds! Our food was horrible, burned and completely dried out. The only thing that was decent was the shrimp. I couldn’t eat anything else. My wife had the pineapple fajita and aside from the tasty pineapple, it was nothing to write home about whatsoever. The taco shell was stale and I have no idea what the tamale was except for a pile of rice and meat and there was no outside corn husk at all. That’s the pic with the red plate. That’s a tamale?! It’s the first time I’ve ever had a tamale that way. The manager comped us the meal since I wouldn’t touch it. That’s not what we wanted. We just wanted good food. At least the manager tried to rectify it.

Pollo Poblano, holy moly. Highly recommend. Didn't eat much of the salsa and chips, but the salsa seems to be well done and a tad spicy. Which is good. Highly recommend this dish, was new and I've learned the thin sliced/seared chicken is fantastic most places. Mushrooms was a nice touch. I asked for guac salad instead of salad, extra like $1. 32 oz marg, $9. Sold

We stopped for lunch on the way home from Ohio. I had been here several times and knew my husband would like it. It is a very clean restaurant and well done. They are currently do a little remodeling, but nothing that gets in the way of the dining experience. I always get the choripollo and he got the carne asada. The flavor was great in both. We also did the Mexican style guacamole, not realizing we would need to mix it all up. But we did and it was very fresh! Highly recommend.

This place has become my best friend and I's favorite Mexican restaurant. The service is great. The food is great and priced very nicely. The atmosphere is just right for a nice meal either by yourself or with people. Absolutely love this place. Highly recommend. Fernando was awesome also being our waiter

I first tried a Las Trancas in Buckhannon, WV and loved it, so when I saw this one, I went here and I loved it at this one too! Everything is really great here, beautifully decorated, people are friendly and food is delicious. I got a burrito that I've never in my life had before, the Vegi-chimi or something like that and it had broccoli, zucchini and more in it! Very different but was so delicious and I devoured it, no regrets! I love Las Trancas! ❤️
