Las Margaritas Bar & Grill

We stopped by Las Margaritas during a road trip through California for a light meal and to check out their happy hour. The restaurant was clean, and the female staff member who helped us was friendly and cheerful. At first, we were given the regular menu without happy hour listed, but when we asked, she quickly brought us the happy hour menu. Happy hour runs Tuesday–Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I ordered a Mojito, and watching it being made was amusing—the bartender shook the cocktail shaker very slowly. It wasn’t the usual high-energy bar style, but it added a relaxed, casual charm. For food, I had two asada street tacos, which were simple, tasty, and easy to enjoy. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno, which was very cheesy and a bit rich, but likely great for cheese lovers. We love this place! Janeth makes THE BEST cocktails! 😋 Skinny & classic margaritas are our go-to, but the Mezcalita special might be our new fave! Service is always great, the food is delicious, and the prices don’t break the bank! Highly recommend!!

Ok, so, yes, it was Friday night and it was busy, but we didn't have to wait long. However, it was super noisy until people started to clear out, then you could actually hold a conversation without feeling like you were yelling. Now, on to the food and service. Service was good, average more like it. Only checked on us once, which is fine I suppose, as most of us don't particularly like being interrupted with a mouth full of food anyway. Now the food. The salsa we got with the chips was more like soup, very weird. We had to order a side of Pico de Gallo to dump in there just to get some consistency, then, it was really good. This place serves a lovely range of legitimate Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the mole enchiladas (photo) and chicken tacos, along with a couple of margaritas. The bar area has a pleasant, artistic ambience, and the whole place is decorated nicely. The service was good. They have beers and mixed drinks but no wine.
