We had a good time at this restaurant, the Afghan dumplings were amazing. The chicken and the lamb shank were also really good. The sampler platter with falafel was delicious. Maybe the flavor of the food could be a little bit better.

Me and my bf came here. Nice atmosphere!! The food was soo delicious. We had the Baloni with beef & onion and potato. We shared the Kofta dish which was pretty good. For dessert we tried their Sheer Yakh and it was very, very delicious! I love vanilla ice cream so it was perfect for me, and there was a hint of rose flavor in it, which was so refreshing!! I wish It had more pistachios, but that’s just me personally bc I loved it so much. The service was pretty good and quick. I would come back.

From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel the positive and authentic atmosphere of this family-owned Afghan restaurant—warmly decorated with traditional touches and complemented by a genuinely welcoming team. The menu begins with the restaurant’s story, which sets the tone beautifully, and continues with an excellent selection of classic Afghan dishes. The variety is impressive: a balanced combination of flavorful starters, vegetarian options, entrées, and a wide range of beautifully prepared meat dishes and kabobs that offer something for every taste. The Bolani was wonderfully seasoned, the lamb shank was cooked to perfection—tender, rich, and served in a deeply flavorful sauce. The lamb chops were delicious, and the Gabuli Palow paired with the lamb shank was outstanding. For

Easily one of the best restaurants I have been to in DC! I had been wanting to go here for ages and finally had the opportunity to come here for dinner with my family. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with kindness and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The drinks and food were all absolutely incredible: The cocktails were creative, and the pumpkin bolani was to die for. We also had the aushak dumplings, potato onion bolani, morgh qorma, cauliflower, lamb chops, qabuli pulow, pistachio ricotta cake, and chocolate cake. Every dish was perfection! A little on the pricey side but completely worth it in my opinion!

The dumplings are absolutely delicious. Definitely not to be missed. We also tried the Afghan salad & the national dish! The cacao dessert was also divine. I would go back again just for that. The service was good, but we ordered a dessert that never arrived and when we asked for our leftovers to be boxed, they never came back out. Overall though, a good experience & truly delicious food.
