Laos in Town

I had a wonderful dining experience at Laos in Town. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern touches with Southeast Asian character in a way that feels both vibrant and comfortable. The food was outstanding — especially the Crispy Rice Salad and the Laab. The flavors were layered and authentic, with fresh herbs and balanced spice that made every bite memorable. The service truly elevated the experience. Our server, Pak, was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. She took the time to explain the dishes and offered thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, the environment, cuisine, and service were all exceptional, and I would absolutely return and recommend this restaurant to others

This place is wonderful! I love the food and atmosphere. I love how culturally aware and beautifully decorated this place is. The food was outstanding. And our server Pak was fantastic. She was so kind and sweet to help us out with questions we had about the menu. Also humored me because I tried to speak Laos as she is Thai. She was very kind and I will definitely come back again!

I have been craving Asian food since my trip to SE Asia. While in DC I decided to go on a foodie adventure to fill that craving. Laos in Town fit the bill. Reservations are done by emailing a form on their website. It was pretty simple and I received a confirmation email for my request shortly after. So far so good. We arrived for our designated time and were shown to our table. We got a seat in the corner looking out at the venue. The whole decor of this place is chic and trendy. The Food and Service here was top notch. My friend and I ordered a number of dishes and they all came out quickly. The flavors were wonderful and the portion sizes were generous. Very cute and wonderful restaurant. The service was great, and the food was phenomenal. I went with a group and we shared everything, which I highly recommend. The crispy rice salad, grilled beef, and ping gai were the standouts. The cakes are also beautiful.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, with a clean and relaxing environment that makes dining very enjoyable. The food was delicious, well-presented, and full of flavor — definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a great meal. I especially want to compliment our server, Pak, who was incredibly friendly and attentive; the service was warm, professional, and made our experience even better. Overall, this is a place I would happily recommend and come back to again.
