Lamar Taco Shop

This is one of my new go-to spots!! Since it opened in the summer, we’ve been here 3-4 times already. The service is always great and the food quality and quantity is also exceptional. It’s one of the few places in town where you have ample options of salsa. I get the Pick Me Bowl and it’s always a huge portion and I can always save the other half when I take it to-go. The initial chips and salsa is also very good and probably the best in town.

Had the old fashioned tacos and the street tacos. They have the Mexican version of bottled drinks (real sugar). The chips are made in house! Everything was delicious!

First of all, the service is excellent. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food is as wonderful as the service, and the restaurant itself is unique and fun. You won’t be disappointed. Oh, and the lime margarita is the best I’ve ever tasted!

Our kid ordered a burger at a taco shop... she said "well, it sounded good so?"... I didn't notice it was a burger cut in half and placed face down in a skillet of bubbling queso! Fajitas and margaritas did not disappoint, and the burritos our friends ordered were huge! Can't wait to go back, need to try it all.

We took some customers to here. It was their suggestion. It is new. I will say I was very very impressed. The atmosphere is just awesome. I’m a huge fan of Volkswagen buses and they have two old buses there. One is part of the bar base. Another one is restored and sitting outside like a catering truck maybe? The staff was awesome and it was just a fun place to be at. The food was spot on. I got the combination fajitas. There was probably more meat on my fajitas than I have had in quite a while from anywhere else. I did get the corn tortilla shells, and they fell apart a few times. Not a dealbreaker, but it was a little awkward trying to eat with them. Still had a wonderful flavor. We will absolutely be back there and take more customers as well.
