Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant

Great food and a wonderful experience! I brought my classmates here for their first time trying injera, and they loved it! The food was gone within 10 minutes, so we had to order more. The service was welcoming, everything was perfectly spiced. The owner and his wife gave us great suggestions. We ordered the vegetable platter, Gored Gored (beef), Doro Wot (chicken stew), and a side of Meser. The Gored Gored was so good we ended up ordering it again! Overall 12/10, we’ll definitely be back.

Great food and beautiful atmosphere! I had a wonderful experience at Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. We ordered the vegetarian combo, and every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The Ethiopian honey wine was a delicious touch and paired really well with the meal. Overall, a great dining experience—I’ll definitely be back!

This is the best Ethiopian restaurant I have been to in years. Every dish had a different flavor. We ordered mild, and it was not spicy but very flavorful. The service was delightful, kind and friendly. They were ready to help us understand details of the food and etiquette. The atmosphere was like a museum of Ethiopian culture. We will be back, and soon.

The owners were extremely kind and welcoming, and the food was exactly what we needed. The vegan combo was a wonderful mix of veggies that were perfectly seasoned, and the honey wine was delightful. Will definitely be back.

This place is a MUST if you’re in Jacksonville. It’s a wonderful, family owned restaurant and the food is so fresh and perfectly spiced. I had never had Ethiopian food before coming here and I was so blown away - some of the best food I’ve had here and with impeccable flavor. I recommend the vegan plate, which was my favorite. I also got the kifto, which was so good. 10/10 we will be coming back!
