Lakewood Tavern

Though it had been on our list for quite some time, we just got to try it recently and it turned out to be a great one!!! Food was excellent!! The nachos were really good and the portion served was huge! And the Nashville hot chicken sliders were absolutely fantastic!! Looking forward to make another visit soon to try out other options out there!!!

This was our first visit. The service was very slow and other tables with the same waitress were served before us. We ordered the $10 onion rings and couldn't get through half of them because they were tasteless, a lot of dough and half cooked, stringy onions. The meals were mediocre at best. The $16 chicken tenders were 3 pieces of rubbery, dry chicken that required a drink of water with each bite to get it down. I got through 1 tender. There were a tiny pile of lukewarm fries on the plate. My husband chose to not finish the meatball sandwich due to it's texture and flavor and the Italian fries were okay.

My daughter and granddaughter went for my daughter’s birthday lunch on a spontaneous trip. So happy we did. My daughter had the Reuben, I had the club and we both had sweet potato fries. The very best sweet potato fries we’ve ever had. Such a nice and clean establishment. We sat on the patio which was nice. We are looking forward to a return trip.

Love Lakewood Tavern - great place, great location. We've been there a bunch, and they always send us home fat & happy. 😁 Their Cuban sandwich is super, and their nachos feed at least 2 people. Super nice people too. Kelsi B. is a terrific server - she knows her stuff, is super personable, and never steers us wrong. Our go-to place for sure.

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lakewood Tavern is one of those rare neighborhood spots that nails everything—great vibes, solid drinks, and genuinely welcoming energy. What really sets it apart, though, is the service, especially from Kelsey G. She was attentive without hovering, friendly without being over-the-top, and made everyone feel like a regular even if it was their first visit. Drinks came out fast, recommendations were on point, and her positive attitude seriously elevated the whole experience. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or settling in for the evening, Lakewood Tavern delivers. Huge shoutout to Kelsey G. for making a great place even better—I’ll absolutely be back. 🍻
