I ordered samay baji, but most of the items were missing, and completely different from what is usually served when dining in at the restaurant. The order only included choila, some saag, achar, and aalu. However, when we have eaten at the restaurant before, the samay baji included a wider variety of items such as tama ko gravy, gizzard, and butmas sadeko. Additionally, the choila delivered was very bitter. The only reason I placed this order specifically for samay baji, but what I received did not meet the expectations.

Well, the food here is absolutely horrible. Everything was served stale and cold. The Goat Thali Set smelled terrible, was stale and tasted just as bad. The Chicken Sekuwa was literally just pan-fried chicken with no spices or flavor at all. This was my first time here — and definitely the last. Updates: all of us have upset stomach!!!!!

The momos were outstanding! We got the momos that are served in a soup love sauce and they were delicious. The other dishes were yummy but we were taken aback by the portions. We chose the package for two that is $18/per person for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert. The appetizer arrived with two pieces, the “entrees” were 1 serving of rice and 2 appetizer size dishes, and the dessert was a good size for 1 person. Thank goodness we also got a dish of momos otherwise it would not be enough food. There was a nice selection of wines and Nepalese beers. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, the bartender was friendly and attentive as well. Service 5 stars!!

Great ambiance, exquisite food, taste of Nepal was in every bite, so many mouth watering dishes on the menu. Plate of momo served took me back to decades ago in Kathmandu when I can recall tasting momo perhaps for the first time. Compliments to the new chef. Hospitality was unmatched. Will be back for more!

I visited Lakeside NYC Inc on 2.14 and thoroughly enjoyed the Paneer Chili—a delicious, perfectly spiced Nepali dish. The friendly staff made me feel welcome, and the elegant atmosphere added a lovely touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Nepali cuisine!
