Lake & Sumter Style Magazine

It's really disheartening when what is supposed to be a local style magazine for restaurant reviews and businesses that are opening decides they want to be on the frontline of fomenting political violence and dehumanizing people. I used to read this magazine to keep up on local events, but I have a really bad taste in my mouth seeing them refer to people as "illegals," or suggesting that protesters should be run over, or using AI images to make protestors look angry, or highlighting the single pro-Trump counter-protestor at the June 14 protest (as if that somehow cancels the hundreds of protestors present). It's clear that Lake & Sumter Style wants to play in the mess of national politics, and I don't want that out of my local style mag.

Shout out to Doug and Kendra Akers, owners of Akers Media, along with Melanie, for including me in the May Business Women of Style. It was a pleasure to work with a great group of professionals. Cindy, Roxanne & Nicole, & Melanie are awesome. First-class operation, all the way. I highly recommend them!
