Lake Oconee Bistro

I had the Shrimp Platter and the food was fresh and hot. My server was Brendon, very knowledgeable of the food, very courteous and friendly. His smile is what made the dinner great. I will be back for some great food.

Loved this spot! dog friendly on the porch. the Korean cauliflower app was great. They Have great drink menu and the prices were very reasonable. Great spot would definitely comeback.

We came in on a Sunday afternoon for my husband’s birthday. I was pleasantly surprised they had brunch. I ordered the breakfast burrito. Unfortunately it tasted and smelt like the fryer. It was hard to get past the smell. I think it came from the potatoes. Plus there wasn’t much flavor outside of that. Some salsa or hot sauce would’ve gone well with it. My five year old got pasta with butter. It should be tossed in butter, not literally sitting in a pool of butter. He didn’t eat it and I don’t blame him. Luckily he liked the side of fries we got him but that’s all he ate. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and he said it lacked any flavor. The food was mediocre for the prices. The service was outstanding! I know good help is hard to find at the lake.

Beautiful location and good food! The service we received from our waiter made this place 5 stars. We went for a late lunch. We were seated immediately in the outdoor dining area on the screened porch. Our waiter came to our table to take our drink order. When asked he gave great suggestions. Im pretty sure his name was CJ. He was awesome! We ordered the jumbo pretzel and bang shrimp! These appetizers were the highlight of our meal! We also ordered one design your own bloody mary to share. The drink was very good. For entrees we ordered a burger and French dip. Fries came with both entrees. The burger was lacking in the flavor department and the French dip was tough. The fries were delicious. The bill was quite high. All in all it was a good experience.

Absolutely stellar restaurant in a place you wouldn't expect! Rarely will you ever find a restaurant in a Summer community with a view of water that pumps out good food, but here they are. I have pretty much tried a good portion of the menu, including salads, burgers, appetizers, and the sandwiches. They all pretty much rock and deliver on quantity and flavor. The burger is the absolute highlight of the menu. If Seth is cooking, the burger will come out flawless, juicy, and cooked perfectly to your desired temperature. My one complaint is the price of the shrimp appetizer. 6 fried shrimp was $16.00. Not worth the price, but that's for the management to set. Overall delicious and I ate here three times in our last week. Highly recommend!
